Solarfuture offers several opportunities for ethical investors. The non-profit organization is developing the following projects:

SOLAR POWERED EUROPEAN OFFICE

Currently under construction in the South of France, this will be Solarfuture’s EU office from the end of 2003.

The building will be fitted with PV systems and a solar heater. Additional heating will be provided by an advanced wood burning system using easily available local firewood (Zero CO2 emission fuel).

SOLAR PLANT, 50kw to 250kw.

You can be involved in this solar plant, generating clean electricity to the grid. Located on a South facing hill, formerly an olive groove, the plant will start at 50kw,growing steadily. The purpose is to test different PV systems, develop new solutions in management and technology to reduce costs and increase returns.

This plant will be partly financed by grants from the EU and the French government. You can become an investor in this project that complies with the EU directive #2000/0116.

STANDARD SOLAR HOME PACKAGE "ZERO ENERGY"

The development of a simple standard package for private homes, including solar water heater, Photovoltaic power generator with all related systems and grants application to ease the procedure of building or refitting a house with solar systems.

ETHOS PROJECT

A solar powered boat to demonstrate the efficiency of photovoltaic systems and promote them to the public. The boat will travel to major cities and will be exhibited in connection with important events, shows, fairs and races, to make the general public aware of both the implications of global warming and resources depletion and the possibilities offered by solar technologies. A superb opportunity for meaningful sponsorship, offering a green image to large corporations, cheaper than a 60ft racing trimaran, great media coverage and much more ethical.
